nodes display on top of each other

I have a problem using the Seras http://www.causalis.com/30-software/10-seras/ program where the graph nodes on the screen always display on top of each other(i.e. top left), but if I save to PDF the graph draws correctly (and I assume that means dot worked). The programmer can't reproduce it, but I have tried it on many different computers with the same result. Sorry, I know this is not a good question, but I am just hoping somebody has solved this before.

nodes display on top of each other after 2.28

I solved the problem of nodes displaying on top of each other by downgrading from 2.38 to 2.28. (syntax for drawing changed in 2.30?). This is working on my Windows 7 PC, but on my Macbook with Yosemite, 2.30.1 is the earliest version I can get to open without crashing.

Since the drawing works fine

Since the drawing works fine in Graphviz, you  probably should contact a Seras mailing list.

Without knowing more, I would guess you are getting one of the symmetric layouts like neato or sfdp. Is there some way you can tell Seras which layout program to use?
